JED SPEARE
" Here are a few images
from the two videos: 'Container of Glass' and 'Sa Valovi Ma'.
'Container of Glass' was first presented in 2003 at Navinki Festival, Belarus and in February 2004 as a part of Mobius's presentation, at Charlestown Working Theater. In each case a different performance was designed with the video. For this evening I will screen only the video. The video depicts three figures in three different sequences performinga actions inside an abandoned truck container. The container is full of bottles of green glass, many of them broken. The initial impetus for the work came from discovering the site. Then I asked artist Boris Kajmak to visit it himself and design an action for it that I would videotape. His response is recorded here, and it determined the tone and pace of the work.
'Sa Valovi Ma' was first shown in Zadar, Croatia in 2000 and later at Mobius in Boston in 2001. It is a meditation on and transformation of work and actions along the waters of the Adriatic "
